Black Women in Production (BWIP) is a Black women-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization expanding access, visibility, and opportunity for Black women in film production.
We exist to connect Black women to the people, productions, resources, and opportunities that help careers move forward. Through advocacy, strategic partnerships, community, and funding, we're working to remove barriers and create a more connected and equitable film industry.
Through initiatives like We Made Room and the GreenLit Fund, BWIP fosters meaningful relationships, expands professional networks, increases visibility, and creates pathways to paid opportunities, funding, and career advancement.
Whether someone is making a second-career transition, growing their experience, or stepping into new leadership opportunities, BWIP exists to ensure they have access to the connections and support that help careers thrive.
